The Olympics is a brilliant global event showcasing a whole host of sports, and also has the bonus of more football to watch!! What a game Australia v Zambia delivered. There were lots of cheers in our household when Michelle Hayman coolly finished for the 6th (!!!) goal and she proved to be the match winner. The game had everything from great goals to unfortunate errors, but it does give Australia a good chance now to keep moving forward in the competition. I’m not used to seeing Australia look frail defensively so that was a bit of a worry, but I also thought the Zambia attackers were great to watch with their speed and skill causing all sorts of problems. As exciting as it was here’s hoping for a less eventful next game! Personally I thought Kyra Cooney-Cross was best on ground for Australia – Go Matildas!!
