Women’s football has come a long way in recent years, breaking barriers and gaining recognition worldwide. From grassroots level to professional leagues, the sport has seen a surge in popularity and support, showcasing the incredible talent and skill of female athletes. Despite this we believe that the growth in Women’s football remains in its infancy.

ShePlaysPro is dedicated to celebrating and promoting the growth of women’s football. We are primarily focussed on showcasing up and coming players and their stories hoping that this will inspire others to follow in their footsteps. The articles are written by young fans for young fans.

We see involvement in football as a great way to meet new people, have fun and stay fit and healthy. We also love that it is a sport that is highly accessible and able to be enjoyed by many.

As fans and players we have been inspired in particular by the Matilda’s here in Australia, and continue to watch the careers of those players bloom at clubs all over the world. We we also particularly inspired by the documentary “Step by Step” featuring the story of Arsenal players Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema through their respective ACL injuries, recoveries and return to playing competitively. We hope to find lots of other inspirational stories to share with you.
